CARLOS SANTANA
Carlos Santana is a legendary guitarist known for pioneering a fusion of rock and Latin American music. His distinct sound features melodic, blues-based guitar lines set against Latin and African rhythms. Which helped to define Santana’s groundbreaking style. Emerging in the late 1960s with his band, Santana, he became famous for hits like “Black Magic Woman” and “Oye Como Va.” Santana’s performance at Woodstock in 1969 cemented his status as a guitar icon.
DAVE NAVARRO
Dave Navarro is a highly influential guitarist best known for his work with the alternative rock band Jane’s Addiction. His eclectic style blends elements of rock, metal, and funk, contributing to the unique sound of Jane’s. Dave was also part of Red Hot Chili Peppers from 93-98. In 2022 the supergroup NHC featuring Dave Navarro, Taylor Hawkins and Chris Chaney made an EP and did some touring. Beyond his guitar work, he’s a television presenter among other things.
SLASH
Slash is a British-American musician and songwriter. He is best known as the lead guitarist for the hard rock band Guns N’ Roses. He formed the side project Slash’s Snakepit, co-founded Velvet Revolver as well as Slash ft. Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators. Guitar World ranked his guitar solo in “November Rain” number 6 on their list of “The 100 Greatest Guitar Solos” in 2008. Total Guitar placed his riff in “Sweet Child o’ Mine” at number 1 on their list of “The 100 Greatest Riffs” in 2004.
JAMES HETFIELD
James Hetfield, the iconic frontman of Metallica, has left an indelible mark on the world of music with his powerful vocals, masterful rhythm guitar, and commanding stage presence. Known for co-writing some of the most influential metal songs in history, Hetfield’s creative genius has helped shape Metallica’s signature sound, blending heavy riffs with raw emotion and intricate songwriting. RICHARD Z. KRUSPE
Richard Z. Kruspe, the lead guitarist and one of the founding members of Rammstein, is pivotal in crafting the band’s iconic sound. Known for his powerful guitar riffs and compelling stage presence, Kruspe’s musical innovations have helped define Rammstein’s blend of industrial metal with electronic influences. Beyond his work with Rammstein, Kruspe also fronts the band Emigrate, where he explores different musical themes and styles.
