Created at the ESP facility in Tokyo, Japan, the ESP E-II Series is our highest-quality factory-produced instrument collection. With the E-II Horizon NT-7B Hipshot, you might have found your dream guitar, as long as you’re able to take advantage of its many world-class features. Let’s start at the beginning: it’s a 7-string baritone guitar built at 27″ scale. Downtuning to extreme levels will never be a problem with this professional-caliber instrument. It offers neck-thru-body construction, with all of the benefits of sustain and stability you’d expect. Adding to this is the Hipshot hardtail bridge with string-thru-body design. The guitar’s active pickup set includes the EMG 85-7H (neck) and 81-7H (bridge) for a range of terrific tones from dark and moody to screamingly aggressive for your most brutal rhythms, riffs, and solos. Top-tier components on the E-II Horizon NT-7B Hipshot include a Schaller straplock, Gotoh locking tuners, and a bone nut. Available in Black Satin or Snow White finish.
The 85-7H is based on one of EMGs first pickups, the 85. Featuring close aperture coils loaded with Alnico V magnets, the 85-7H is a powerful seven string guitar pickup with exceptional tone and versatility. The Alnico magnets of this model provide a muscular growl and smooth lead tones enabling you to play everything from the blues to the most extreme metal. Although often used in the neck position, make no mistake, the EMG 85-7H sounds great as a bridge pickup thanks to its exceptional smoothness and soul.
Based off the popular EMG 81, the 81-7H utilizes powerful ceramic magnets and close aperture coils to produce a detailed tone with incredible amounts of high end cut, and fluid sustain. Traditionally used in the bridge position of your seven string guitar, this humbucker pickup will make your leads slice right through even the densest mix.
Built in Japan by ESP’s luthiers, the ESP E-II Series represents a new standard in high-quality guitars and basses. ESP E-II bridges the gap between our premium ESP and LTD models, with great looks, sound, and craftsmanship built into each instrument.
