Description

With the E-II Horizon NT-7B Hipshot, you might have found your dream guitar, as long as you’re able to take advantage of its many world-class features. Let’s start at the beginning: it’s a 7-string baritone guitar built at 27″ scale. Downtuning to extreme levels will never be a problem with this professional-caliber instrument. It offers neck-thru-body construction, with all of the benefits of sustain and stability you’d expect. Adding to this is the Hipshot hardtail bridge with string-thru-body design. The guitar’s active pickup set includes the EMG 707 (neck) and 81-7 (bridge) for a range of terrific tones from dark and moody to screamingly aggressive for your most brutal rhythms, riffs, and solos. Top-tier components on the E-II Horizon NT-7B Hipshot include a Schaller straplock, Gotoh locking tuners, and a bone nut. Created at the ESP facility in Tokyo, Japan, the ESP E-II Series is our highest-quality factory-produced instrument collection.

EMG 707
The 707 has been leading the pack of 7-string guitar pickups since its debut in 2001. The EMG 707 eliminated the problem of a muddy low B string that often lacked rich harmonic character and definition. Featuring Alnico V loaded, wide aperture coils, EMG was able to beef up the Low B string tone while maintaining a balanced and articulate upper register. This provided the responsive and tight sound seven string players grew to love. Whether you are ringing out Opeth-style jazz chords or playing palm muted death chugs, these pickups will articulate every note, chord, and harmonic you ask of them. Used equally in the bridge and neck positions, these pickups will forever change how you hear and play your 7-string guitar.

EMG 81-7H
Based off the popular EMG 81, the 81-7H utilizes powerful ceramic magnets and close aperture coils to produce a detailed tone with incredible amounts of high end cut, and fluid sustain. Traditionally used in the bridge position of your seven string guitar, this humbucker pickup will make your leads slice right through even the densest mix.
