Description
Epiphone introduces the Les Paul Classic-T, the world’s first affordable self-tuning electric guitar featuring the fast, easy, and dependable Min-ETune system that gets you in tune quickly and accurately at the touch of a button. For over a century, Epiphone has led the way in making professional affordable instruments. Epiphone sets trends and inspires artists around the world. And now with the new Les Paul Classic-T, Epiphone combines the legendary “Les Paul sound” with the revolutionary Min-ETune system to bring the Les Paul of the future to players everywhere.
Min-ETuneTM System:
The Min-ETune system is a powerful new tool for guitarists at all levels. The compact battery-powered system tunes your guitar in seconds and can deliver 80-100 tunings on one charge. For beginners, having Min-ETune on your guitar means that every spare moment you have to practice your instrument, learn a classic riff, or try out a new idea, will be spent playing instead of tuning. The Min-ETune knows your instrument as well as you do and can make fine adjustments that would be hard if not impossible to make accurately with a typical pedal tuner. The Min-ETune is fast, accurate, and requires no cables, wi-fi, or experience. For professionals, the Min-ETune will instantly make a big difference whether you’re performing live in concert or in the studio. No more fiddling with pedals, small cables, or keeping an ugly clip-on tuner attached to your headstock. The Min-ETune is your invisible guitar tech—getting you in tune and keeping you in tune anywhere, anytime. At the push of a button, Min-ETune will tune all six strings to perfect pitch automatically.
Alternative Tunings Made Instant and Easy:
For metal, rock, blues and country guitarists who are used to bringing multiple guitars on stage for songs that require open tunings, Min-ETune eliminates the hassle of long pauses in between songs or even the need to bring all that extra gear. Your Min-ETune comes with 12 popular preset alternate tunings. And in addition, you can also program up to six additional tunings yourself. You can even adjust your guitar’s tunings to match other instruments such as a piano. The Min-ETune system is nothing short of revolutionary. With the addition of the new Tronical SpeedNutTM that solves the age-old problem of string slippage and intonation, now there’s nothing between you, your instrument, and the audience. And what better guitar to introduce the new Min-ETune system than the most sought after electric guitar in the world–the Les Paul.
Meet The Les Paul Classic-T – Classic form, classic sound!
The Les Paul Classic-T brings the security of the breakthrough Min-ETune system to the world’s finest electric guitar, the Les Paul, without breaking the bank. The Les Paul Classic-T has all of the Les Paul’s trademark features including a Mahogany body with a AAA Flame Maple Veneer top, a combination that has made hundreds of hit records over the last six decades. The Les Paul Classic-T has a glued-in 3-piece hard Maple neck with a 1960s SlimTaperTM profile with a 12” radius, which makes for easy transitions between chords and solos. The hand-set neck has the Les Paul’s legendary scale length of 24.75” with 22 medium jumbo frets and a Rosewood fretboard with “trapezoid” inlays. Both the body and the neck feature single layer black binding and the Clipped Ear headstock has a 60’s vintage style “Epiphone” logo in Pearloid along with the iconic “Les Paul Model” signature in gold silkprint, the same signature that has appeared on every Les Paul since 1952. A special “2014” logo is also on the back of the headstock and the black truss rod cover has “Les Paul Classic-T” in white.
Tronical SpeedNutTM: Another new feature found on the Les Paul Classic-T is the new Tronical SpeedNutTM.
Designed in Germany, the Tronical® SpeedNutTM is made from an exclusive material that is 2-times more slippery than Teflon™ so there are no tuning hang-ups. The SpeedNut is 3-times harder than bone, making string vibration easy while maintaining precise tone and pitch. Each nut is precision molded to ensure consistently perfect string height at the lower frets for easy fingering.
Epiphone Ceramic PlusTM Humbuckers:
Epiphone’s new Ceramic PlusTM open coil humbucker pickups put a new twist on the legendary Les Paul sound. Ceramic magnets provide the Les Paul Classic-T with a tone that is “tight,” articulate, and powerful, with tremendous strength and clarity that really shines through at high volume.
Rock Solid Epiphone Electronics and Hardware:
Like all great Les Pauls, the Classic-T features Epiphone-guaranteed electronics and hardware. The Ceramic PlusTM humbuckers are controlled by an Epiphone 3-way toggle/pickup selector switch and standard volume and tone controls for the neck and bridge. Controls knobs are classic Top Hat style with chrome metal inserts. The LockToneTM Tune-o-matic bridge and LockToneTM Stopbar tailpiece provide players with not only stable intonation, but they also contribute to the “tone for days” that Les himself worked so hard to achieve. Epiphone’s breakthrough ¼” heavy duty all nickel non-rotating jack and heavy duty nickel strap buttons give you total security when stepping on stage and plugging in. The black pickguard shape—also a familiar site on all Les Pauls–sets off the Classic-T’s three beautiful color finishes; Black Cherry, Midnight Ebony, and Midnight Sapphire.
Min-ETuneTM Machine Heads:
The new Epiphone Les Paul Classic-T gets in tune and stays in tune thanks to the Min-ETune system with vintage style keys with a 40:1 tuning ratio. The revolutionary Min-ETune is the only proven system to keep your guitar in tune. At the touch of a button, it automatically tunes to standard pitch as well as open tunings quickly and accurately. Any Epiphone guitar with Min-ETune feels the same, looks the same (the unit mounts onto the back of your guitar’s headstock), and plays the same. But most importantly, your guitar also sounds the same since Min-ETune works by tuning the actual strings, not by digital trickery that degrades your tone. The Les Paul Classic-T’s Min-ETune comes with 18 preset tunings including 12 factory presets and 6 user programmable presets. The factory presets alone cover all the classic blues, rock, country, and metal tunings including Standard E, Eb with Drop D, Drop D, DADGAD, Open A, G, D, and E, and standard Dobro tuning. Save time and money in the studio, keep the flow going on-stage, and enhance your creativity with new tunings. Alternate tunings are hard to master, especially for new players, but Min-ETune gets you in and out of 12 custom tunings in seconds. You can even tune to instruments like piano that might be slightly off of standard pitch. You take care of the playing—we’ll handle the tuning. Just push a button, strum, and your perfectly tuned Les Paul Classic-T is ready to rock, write, or record. Min-ETune tunes all six strings simultaneously in seconds. Spend time playing–not tuning. (Your audience will thank you, too.) There are other automatic tuning systems that work by digitally synthesizing the sound of a tuned string. But Min-ETune tunes your physical strings—no tricks and no digital processing. You’ll never hear one pitch coming out of your speakers and a different pitch coming out of your guitar. With Min-ETune, what you play is what you hear. As with all Epiphones, the Les Paul Classic-T comes with Epiphone’s Limited Lifetime Warranty and 365/24/7 Gibson Customer Service. The future has arrived. And the future is in tune! Play a new Epiphone Les Paul Classic-T with Min-ETune at your Authorized Epiphone Dealer today. You take care of the playing—we’ll handle the tuning.
