DIMARZIO DAVE DAVIDSON IMPERIUM™
The Imperium™ Neck Model was developed for Revocation front man Dave Davidson. Dave’s exceptional guitar playing is difficult to categorize. It has been suggested that he be described simply as a “metal” player without any additional modifiers because he spans the gamut. He’s a true original, and we’re very pleased to be working with him.

It was very important to Dave to have pickups that not only sound good as a lead sound, but also sound great clean because he doesn’t always play with distortion. The low end is full-bodied and the high end comes through crystal clear. He also asked that the Imperium™ Neck and Bridge Models to be voiced as close as possible to the seven string versions, so there’s no tonal difference when he’s playing live, switching back and forth between his six- and seven-string guitars.

The Imperium™ Neck Model has a very smooth, liquid sound yet it’s really tuneful so that there’s a bit of contrast between the neck and bridge pickups when Dave plays leads.

Dave wanted a lot of dynamics and clarity in the Imperium™ Bridge Model. He tends to play a lot of complex chord voicings with Revocation, and wanted to be certain that all the notes ring through even with a lot of gain.

DAVE DAVIDSON
Formed in Boston in 2000 by frontman Dave Davidson, extreme metal band Revocation soon earned a reputation for unleashing some of the genre’s most potent, technical and abrasive metal. With a constant drive to evolve their sound, Davidson and his bandmates Brett Bamberger, Dan Gargiulo and Ash Pearson set forth their most dynamic, boundary-pushing and weighty release to date with 2016’s Great Is Our Sin. Davidson developed his ferocious guitar skills by attending the Berklee College of Music, where he focused on polyrhythm and jazz.

JACKSON
Jackson guitars began back in the late 1970s, when heavy music experienced a flamboyant and virtuosic resurgence in popularity and a small Southern California guitar repair shop became the epicenter of a new level of shred-approved excellence. Ever since then, Jackson guitars have been universally lauded as the metal guitars; the shred machines—highly original high-performance instruments of distinctive style and formidable substance. www.jacksonguitars.com
