Description

The Schecter Pete Dee PT Gloss Black is the signature guitar of Pete Dee. The Adicts guitarist Pete Dee’s signature guitar is a classic PT but with a Bigsby Flat Top B50 tremolo. The pickups are a Schecter Diamond SuperRock Custom Alnico on the bridge and a Duncan Designed FG-101N on the neck.

Bigsby® Vibrato
The Bigsby® Vibrato was developed in the 1940s as one of the first tremolo systems. The vibrato itself consists of a base plate made of solid aluminum in which a rotatable steel shaft is mounted. The strings are wound around the steel shaft, to which the vibrato lever is also attached. If you move the vibrato lever, the strings are wound or unwound and the pitch changes according to the fluctuating string tension. The Bigsby vibrato allows slight fluctuations in pitch of around 1-2 semitones.

Locking Tuner
Locking tuners are specifically designed to increase tuning stability while making string changes easier. The main difference from traditional tuners is the way the strings are attached. With locking tuners, the string is not only wrapped around the mechanism, but also secured by a locking system. This system consists of a small clamping mechanism or screw that holds the string in place.

Rosewood Fretboard
A rosewood fretboard is characterized by a warm, resonant tone quality. The density and structure of rosewood help the string vibrations to be transmitted efficiently, resulting in a balanced sound spectrum with emphasized lows, clear mids and silky highs.
