Description

The PRS SE Santana Standard is perfect as a first guitar or the last guitar you’ll ever need. The PRS SE Santana Standard is a high-quality, articulate guitar for demanding players. With it’s shorter 24.5″ scale length, the SE Santana Standard has a buttery, sweet tone that can go from Santana’s signature lead tone to fat, hard rock rhythm chords. Featuring a stripped down, all-mahogany body (similar to Paul’s Pre-Factory guitars), a set mahogany neck, rosewood fretboard with bird inlays, PRS patented molded tremolo.

“With so many aspiring players struggling to stick with guitar past the first year. We knew we wanted to deliver an affordable quality guitar that players didn’t have to fight. We want the guitar to inspire you to play. It can’t be something you have to worry about staying in tune or simply working right. So while the SE Standards are our first foray into the below $500 price point. That doesn’t mean we compromised on tone, versatility, playability, or reliability,” said Jack Higginbotham, COO, PRS Guitars. “We’re very proud to offer these guitars to the world.”

CARLOS SANTANA
Carlos Santana is a Mexican and American musician who first became famous in the late 1960s and early 1970s with his band, Santana. They pioneered a fusion of rock and Latin American music. The band’s sound featured his melodic, blues-based guitar lines set against Latin. Also African rhythms featuring percussion instruments such as timbales and congas not generally heard in rock music. Santana continued to work in these forms over the following decades. He experienced a resurgence of popularity and critical acclaim in the late 1990s. In 2003 Rolling Stone magazine listed Santana at number 20 on their list of the 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time. He has won 10 Grammy Awards in addition to three Latin Grammy Awards.
