The Wait is Over! The Ernie Ball Music Man John Petrucci Majesty 8 string signature guitar has arrived! This new Majesty 8 will be available in a limited quantity of only 100 pieces worldwide and offered in the original Mystic Dream signature finish. The Majesty 8 string features a non-tremolo mahogany neck-through-body with basswood wings and ebony fretboard. The new multi-scale fretboard features 24 stainless steel frets and measures 27″ on the bass side with a standard scale length of 25.5″ on the treble side. This multi-scale design allows for a longer string length providing a comfortable amount of tension on the bass strings, with a traditional feel on the treble side for fluid string bends and solos. The electronics package includes a 3-way selector switch with signature 8 string custom-angled DiMarzio Dreamcatcher (bridge) and Rainmaker (neck) pickups. Also included is a 3-way toggle that incorporates a piezo bridge system giving the Majesty a very focused and highly versatile palette of tones. The Majesty 8 string will be hand-numbered on the back of the headstock and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.

This multi-scale design allows for a longer string length providing a comfortable amount of tension on the bass strings, with a traditional feel on the treble side for fluid string bends and solos.
ORIGINAL SIGNATURE FINISH
The Mystic Dream finish first appeared on the Ernie Ball Music Man signature JP6 guitar released in 2001. This unique metallic color shift finish flips between dark green and purple hues depending on the direct light. Proving to be one of the most popular signature color options, it has been brought back for the Majesty 8 debut.
ANGLED HARDTAIL BRIDGE WITH CHEVRON COVER
With a multiscale instrument, the bass side of the fretboard facilitates a longer scale length while the treble side remains at a standard scale. For this reason, the hardtail bridge is set at an angle to increase the string length of the bass strings, which reduces the amount of tension when using larger gauge strings.

JOHN PETRUCCI
John Peter Petrucci is an American guitarist, composer and producer. He is best known as a founding member of the progressive metal band Dream Theater. With his former bandmate Mike Portnoy, he produced all Dream Theater albums from 1999’s Metropolis Pt. 2: Scenes from a Memory to 2019’s Distance Over Time. He has been the sole producer of the band’s albums released since Portnoy’s departure in 2010. Petrucci was named as the third player on the G3 tour seven times, more than any other invited guitarist. Joel McIver’s 2009 book The 100 Greatest Metal Guitarists ranks Petrucci second, after Dave Mustaine. He was also named as one of the “Top 10 Greatest Guitar Shredders of All Time” by GuitarOne magazine. In 2012, Petrucci was ranked the 17th greatest guitarist of all time by a Guitar World magazine reader’s poll.
