Description
The SH-7 EverTune is the LTD Signature Series model of guitarist Brian “Head” Welch, the seven-string innovator and founding member of nu-metal icons Korn. The design of the SH-7ET was a result of Brian working closely with the ESP product development team, and has a body style with horns that are slightly thinned and streamlined for a sleek, menacing look. Its EverTune constant tension bridge system ensures that it stays in tune (and with excellent intonation all over the neck) in nearly any condition. The SH-7ET makes use of innovative Fishman Fluence Modern Humbucker pickups, with the Alnico version in the neck and the Ceramic version in the bridge position. The pickups provide an amazing range of great tones on their own, and the SH-7ET also provides a push-pull tone pot to access two different voicings of the pickups. The SH-7ET is a neck-thru-body design with a flamed maple top in See Thru Purple finish over its comfortable, contoured basswood body. It employs a three-piece maple neck at 25.5″ scale with an ebony fingerboard, and offers glow-in-the-dark side markers so that the fret position can easily be seen even on dark stages.
FLUENCE MODERN HUMBUCKER
Original and totally re-imagined, Fishman Fluence pickups are free from the hum, noise and frustrating inductance issues that plague even the most coveted wire-wound pickups — revealing pure, uncorrupted and musical tone.
Modern Humucker Alnico: All the musicality, power and explosiveness of alnico. Full chords and fluid solos, plus a voice you’ve never heard in a humbucker. Great in both positions, or commonly paired with a ceramic bridge pickup.
Modern Humbucker Ceramic: Cutting ceramic attack. Brutal active aggression and passive punch in the same guitar. Great in both positions, or commonly paired with alnico neck.
Each Fishman Fluence pickup has two distinct and useful sounds on-board. These sounds start with the revolutionary Fluence Core, the heart of Fluence tone. From this Fluence Core we then create the classic timbres and tone — colors you expect from great guitar pickups — as well as some you’ve never expected.
EVERTUNE BRIDGE:
The EverTune bridge is an all mechanical bridge system that keeps the guitar’s strings in-tune indefinitely by using a combination of springs, levers and some mathematics, which create constant tension on every string, all while still allowing for expressive playing including vibrato and string bending. The EverTune supports any desired tuning and is a perfect solution for song writing, recording and touring where a guitarists needs to rely on unwavering tuning stability and great intonation across the neck.
