Previously available only as a guitar from ESP’s Custom Shop, the LTD Ron Wood offers affordable excellence in a traditional guitar style. Built to the specification of the legendary Rolling Stones guitarist, the LTD Ron Wood is a bolt-on design that pairs a comfortable fully-bound alder body to a maple neck with maple fingerboard and 22 extra-jumbo frets. Its sound is powered by a set of high-quality Seymour Duncan pickups: a ‘59 humbucker in the neck and a Hot Tele single-coil in the bridge. It includes a bone nut, LTD vintage tuners, and an LTD fixed bridge. Available in Black and Three-Tone Burst (with rosewood fingerboard) finishes.
SEYMOUR DUNCAN HOT TELE (STL-2)
The Hot Tele Lead pickup uses flat, hand ground alnico 5 rod magnets and a special high output coil wind to give you enough midrange power to cut through like a humbucker. The absence of a steel bottom-plate gives you a fat, full punch in both the low and mid-range frequencies, yet it retains the muscular twang of a vintage style lead pickup. Great for Telecaster players who demand a more powerful lead tone, with extra presence and drive.
SEYMOUR DUNCAN ’59 (SH-1N)
The ’59 Model neck pickup is one of our most popular pickups because it’s so versatile. It’s designed in the spirit of the original P.A.F. humbuckers of the 1950s, with sweet sustain, full-sounding chords, clear and bright attack, but we’ve made a few refinements to slightly modernize the design and make it more adaptable to different styles. The ’59 has a full low end which is great for adding character to your clean sounds and sustain to your leads. The high end is slightly boosted for improved pick-attack clarity and the mids are a little scooped for an open, smooth sound that’s great for preserving the clarity of the individual notes in a chord. Play softly and the mids and highs seem to fade back, but pick hard and the note will be confident and clear. There isn’t a genre that the ’59 can’t work within.
