Description

The LTD M-1001 Charcoal Burst is part of the LTD 1000 series. Guitars in the LTD 1000 Series are designed to offer the tone, feel, looks and quality that working professional musicians need in an instrument. If you want the speedy, high-performance abilities of the M Series in a guitar with special appointments that will let you stand out in a crowded field, the LTD M-1001 Charcoal Burst is for you. This guitar adds an amazing quilted maple top over its alder body, finished in transparent Charcoal Burst that allows the figured wood to grab the spotlight. More than just a great looking guitar, the M-1001NT offers performance features like its extra-thin U-shaped maple neck, and a compound neck radius for maximum speed and comfort. The Macassar ebony fingerboard features 24 extra-jumbo frets and offset mother-of-pearl dot inlays. Its reverse headstock has a matching finish in quilted maple, and white binding on the neck and headstock. Components on the LTD M-1001 Charcoal Burst include LTD locking tuners, a TonePros locking TOM bridge with string-thru-body, and a single aggressive direct-mount EMG 81TW with push-pull control for coil splitting.

EMG 81TW
OThe 81TW humbucker doubles down on tone, taking the EMG 81 and adding a separate single coil pickup in the same housing. This is not your traditional coil-tap humbucker. EMG has designed the dual-mode to allow for maximum flexibility, featuring two pickups in one humbucker.
The original 81 provides all the crunch and attack it’s famous for and the additional single-coil now gives players two classic tonal options to choose from. Either mode is accessed through a push/pull pot for ease and versatility. The internal preamp gives the 81TW two distinct sounds while delivering EMG’s well known noise cancelling technology in both modes. Along with our solderless installation, this is a great choice for guitar players looking to get more out of one pickup.
