Description

The BK-600 is one of the LTD Signature Series guitars for Bill Kelliher, guitarist for award-winning American metal band Mastodon. Designed by Bill to provide the wide range of tones needed for Mastodon’s music while being sturdy and reliable enough for his most punishing rhythms and brutal riffs throughout long tours, the BK-600 is based on the single-cutaway ESP Eclipse guitar style, along with a traditional full body thickness and no waist cut. Its three-piece mahogany neck is joined to the body with set-thru construction at 24.75” scale for smooth and comfortable fast access to the upper frets. The BK-600 offers an ebony fingerboard with pearloid “ESP Flag” inlays and 22 frets, as well as binding on the body, neck, and headstock. Its sound is generated with a set of customized Seymour Duncan Distortion pickups, the original high output humbucker with a massive ceramic magnet and hot coil windings to deliver full-bodied rock and metal tones that are controlled with master volume and tone knobs that each offer a push-pull control to split the bridge and neck pickups respectively. Other professional features on the LTD BK-600 include locking tuners and a TonePros locking bridge and tailpiece. It’s available in a distinctively cool Military Green Sunburst Satin finish.

SEYMOUR DUNCAN MAYHEM™ SET
Seymour Duncan’s original high-output ceramic humbuckers, the Duncan Distortion neck and bridge are perfectly suited for aggressive rock and metal players.

The Duncan Distortion bridge is there original high-output humbucker. It incorporates a massive ceramic magnet and hot coil windings to deliver well-balanced rock and metal tones that have rich upper midrange harmonic content. Great for hard-hitting, crunchy rhythms, and searing lead tone. Riffs are tight and percussive and lead work is fast and immediate with ultra-clear pick dynamics.

Originally known as the SH-7 Seymourizer, the Duncan Distortion neck pickup is specifically designed for use with the matching high-output bridge version. It is hot enough to deliver smooth, fluid solo tones under high gain, while still producing bell-like clean tones.
