Description

Trivium has long carried the metalcore torch high, and Corey Beaulieu’s scorching and memorable lead guitar work is a cornerstone of the band’s punishing and heavy sound. Teaming up with Jackson® to modify the King V™ to meet his exact specifications, they created a signature guitar that sounds as vicious as it looks.

The Pro Series Signature Corey Beaulieu King V KV6Q features a resonant mahogany King V body with serrated points and a gorgeous rippling quilt maple top. Through-body maple neck construction ensures ergonomic comfort during long sets along with monstrous sustain, while graphite-reinforcement rods provide rock-solid stability even under the most extreme environmental and climate conditions. A smooth oiled finish on the back of the neck gives it that comfortable well-played feel. Built to withstand Beaulieu’s onslaught of heavy riffing, the 12″-16″ compound radius ebony fingerboard hosts 24 jumbo frets with old-school sharkfin inlays.

Covered Seymour Duncan® Blackouts® AHB pickups unleash clear, articulate tones even when under the heaviest distortion. The neck pickup delivers smooth, glassy leads, while the bridge pickup sinks its teeth into more aggressive tones and sustain while maintaining its intonation. Tone is customizable with a three-way toggle switch and single volume control, while the Floyd Rose® 1000 Series double-locking tremolo system keeps this pro-level instrument perfectly in tune even after the deepest dive bombs.

Ready to throttle stages at a moment’s notice, the Pro Series Signature Corey Beaulieu King V KV6Q is blanketed in a Winterstorm finish with matching Jackson pointed 6-in-line tilt-back headstock, black headstock binding and black hardware.

MAHOGANY BODY WITH QUILT MAPLE TOP
Mahogany produces a rich, warm and resonant tone that is well balanced, while the beautiful figured maple with distorted flatsawn wood grain patterns creates a one-of-a-kind water-like appearance.

SEYMOUR DUNCAN® BLACKOUTS AHB-1S 6
The perfect choice for metal players looking for warm complex chording and singing leads, the Blackouts neck pickup practically cries out for two-handed shred and thick rhythm playing. The Blackouts bridge humbucker delivers the high-output signal level of an active pickup, and excels at screaming pinched harmonics and hyper-speed riffage with responsive dynamics across the entire fretboard.

COREY BEAULIEU
Corey Beaulieu joined Trivium after their debut album release in 2003 and is credited for bringing along his death metal influence. Nearly 15 years later, Beaulieu and Trivium are still carrying the metalcore torch high as they continue to release new music and tour the world relentlessly. Trivium formed in 1999 in Orlando, Florida, after the band’s original singer saw Matt Heafy perform Metallica’s “No Leaf Clover” at his high school talent show. The young members chose Trivium for its meaning in medieval Latin (the lower division of the seven liberal arts, comprising grammar, rhetoric, and logic), liking the way it implied an open-mindedness to different styles and how it summed up their musical aesthetic.

JACKSON
Jackson guitars began back in the late 1970s, when heavy music experienced a flamboyant and virtuosic resurgence in popularity and a small Southern California guitar repair shop became the epicenter of a new level of shred-approved excellence. Ever since then, Jackson guitars have been universally lauded as the metal guitars; the shred machines—highly original high-performance instruments of distinctive style and formidable substance. www.jacksonguitars.com
