Description

The Ibanez JS25ART is a JS guitar celebrating the 25th anniversary of the association and collaboration between Ibanez and Joe Satriani. The artwork painting of the JS25ART has been made by Joe Satriani himself in the Ibanez custom shop in Los Angeles, every guitar is an unique piece of art and is very different from each other. Following the advices of his sisters Jon and Carol who had already done artwork painting on the JS4 and JS5, Joe find his own graphic artistic signature that reminds a bit Basquiat’s work.

50 models have ever been produced in the world, including 25 for the USA and at least 8 for the Europe (4 in Germany, 2 for the UK, 1 in France and 1 in Italy). At the NAMM presentation, the price was 7999.99$ like the JSBDG‘s, JS2PRM‘s or JS20th‘s was. This collection model worth its price by the rarity, the amazing finition and the piece of art it is, an accomplishment from 25 years producing and designing guitars and from a whole life that leads the graphic creation.

According to its characteristics, the JS25ART is a mix between the JS2400 and the JS2450, with a basswood body, a 1 piece maple neck with a rosewood fretboard. Pearly dots are inlayed in the fretboard. An original Edge tremolo, Satch’s favourite, is featuring and fits the Chrome Hardware.
The 24 frets neck has been refined, it’s today in 2015 the thinest JS neck ever made, the cream of the crop!

About the electronics, the JS25ART features 2 DiMarzio pickups, humbuckers as usual, Satch Track for the neck pickup, and a Mo’ Joe for the bridge pickup. Push/pull system on both the Volume and Tone pots activate a high-pass filter and a coil tap, very important features.

Joe Satriani signes here one of the best Ibanez JS custom ever made.
