Description
The APEX20 is a seven-string solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 2014. It is a signature model of American guitarist James ‘Munky’ Shaffer, known for his work with the nu metal band Korn, and a part of Munky’s APEX series. It is produced in Indonesia. The APEX20 is a more affordable version of the APEX200 which was released the same year. The design of both is inspired by a Universe series guitar which Shaffer used in the early days of Korn.

MUNKY
James Christian Shaffer, also known by his stage name “Munky”, is an American musician best known as co-founder and rhythm guitarist of the nu metal band Korn. Shaffer set up the side-project band Fear and the Nervous System in 2008 and is also the founder of Emotional Syphon Recordings, who have signed acts like Monster in the Machine and Droid.Shaffer was ranked at No. 26 of Guitar World’s 100 Greatest Heavy Metal Guitarists of All Time. Shaffer’s work with Korn has resulted in over 35 million albums sold.
