Description

Classic Les Paul lines are upgraded with a sharp Florentine cutaway that mirrors the legendary Gibson archtops, while the chambered mahogany body wears luscious highly figured maple on its top and back. Pear split-block inlays, gold hardware throughout, gold Speed Knobs and a bound headstock with abalone Supreme inlay and gold truss-rod cover complete the look. But this Supreme is more than just a trophy piece: two alnico humbucking pickups—a 490 in the neck position and hotter 498 in the bridge—give you all the tones that made the original Les Paul Standard famous, while a genuine Bigsby™ vibrato enhances the atmosphere. The Limited Run Les Paul Supreme Florentine comes protected in a Vintage Brown Gibson hardshell case.

ABOUT GIBSON:
Orville Gibson founded the company in 1902 as “The Gibson Mandolin-Guitar Mfg. Co., Ltd.” in Kalamazoo, Michigan to make mandolin-family instruments. Gibson invented archtop guitars by constructing the same type of carved, arched tops used on violins. By the 1930s, the company was also making flattop acoustic guitars, as well as one of the first commercially available hollow-body electric guitars, used and popularized by Charlie Christian. www.gibson.com
