But this Supreme is more than just a trophy piece: two alnico humbucking pickups—a 490 in the neck position and hotter 498 in the bridge—give you all the tones that made the original Les Paul Standard famous, while a genuine Bigsby™ vibrato enhances the atmosphere. ABOUT GIBSON:
Orville Gibson founded the company in 1902 as “The Gibson Mandolin-Guitar Mfg. Co., Ltd.” in Kalamazoo, Michigan to make mandolin-family instruments. Gibson invented archtop guitars by constructing the same type of carved, arched tops used on violins.
