Chris Cornell was an American singer, songwriter and musician. He was best known as the lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist for the rock bands Soundgarden and Audioslave. He is also known for his numerous solo works and soundtrack contributions. He was also the founder and frontman of Temple of the Dog, a one-off tribute band dedicated to his late friend Andrew Wood. Chris Cornell is considered one of the chief architects of the 1990s grunge movement. ABOUT GIBSON
Orville Gibson founded the company in 1902 as “The Gibson Mandolin-Guitar Mfg. Co., Ltd.” in Kalamazoo, Michigan to make mandolin-family instruments. Gibson invented archtop guitars by constructing the same type of carved, arched tops used on violins.
