Gibson Adam Jones 1979 Les Paul Custom Antique Silverburst is the limited-edition Gibson Custom Shop model recreates Adam’s #1 guitar – his prized original Silverburst 1979 Gibson Les Paul™ Custom. Finished in Antique Silverburst VOS, the graphic on the rear of the headstock was designed by Adam Jones, and a replica of his headstock mirror is included in the custom Adam Jones hardshell case. These guitars were hand-made by the expert luthiers and craftspeople of the Gibson Custom Shop as part of a very special run.

Adam Jones is one of rock’s most talented and sonically innovative guitarists, from multi-platinum selling and multiple Grammy Award® winning band Tool. Jones has been rated the 75th-greatest guitarist of all time by the Rolling Stone and placed ninth in Guitar World’s Top 100 Greatest Metal Guitarists. With experience in special effects and set design in the Hollywood film industry, Jones is also the director of the majority of Tool’s music videos.
ABOUT GIBSON
Orville Gibson founded the company in 1902 as “The Gibson Mandolin-Guitar Mfg. Co., Ltd.” in Kalamazoo, Michigan to make mandolin-family instruments. Gibson invented archtop guitars by constructing the same type of carved, arched tops used on violins. By the 1930s, the company was also making flattop acoustic guitars, as well as one of the first commercially available hollow-body electric guitars, used and popularized by Charlie Christian. www.gibson.com
