Description

Made at the ESP factory in Japan, the ESP E-II HRF NT-8 Baritone is a monster guitar in every conceivable aspect. A 27″ baritone 8-string guitar with neck-thru-body construction, the HRF takes design elements from both our H (Horizon) and F (Forest) guitar families. Typically tuned to F#-B-E-A-D-G-B-E, the HRF NT-8 Baritone provides a massively extended low end range for players who want to go beyond the typical limitations of standard guitars. It offers a surprisingly comfortable alder body, paired with a three-piece maple neck and an ebony fingerboard with 24 extra-jumbo frets. The ESP E-II HRF NT-8 Baritone includes a set of professional-caliber components, like a bone nut, Schaller straplock, Gotoh locking tuners, and a Hipshot fixed bridge with string-thru-body design. The set of EMG 85-8H (neck) and EMG 81-8H (bridge) active pickups on this extreme guitar are specifically designed to give you the range of articulate and aggressive tones you’ve always wanted. Available in Black Satin finish. Includes ESP deluxe form-fitting case.

EMG 85-8H
The 85-8H is based on one of EMGs first pickups, the 85. Featuring close aperture coils loaded with Alnico V magnets, the 85-8H is a powerful eight string guitar pickup with exceptional tone and versatility. The Alnico magnets of this model provide a muscular growl and smooth lead tones enabling you to play everything from the blues to the most extreme metal. Although often used in the neck position, make no mistake, the EMG 85-8H sounds great as a bridge pickup thanks to its exceptional smoothness and soul.

EMG 81-8H
Based off the popular EMG 81, the 81-8H utilizes powerful ceramic magnets and close aperture coils to produce a detailed tone with incredible amounts of high end cut, and fluid sustain. Traditionally used in the bridge position of your eight string guitar, this humbucker pickup will make your leads and low strings slice right through even the densest mix. When used in both neck and bridge positions the sound can only be described as blistering.
