Description

The sleek and thoroughly modern X Series guitars are built for speed, power and aggression. The extreme contours on the body and the neck joint provide comfort as well as a distinctively high-tech look. The super fast neck and large jumbo frets facilitate speed and precision in your playing – from over-the-top shred to pummeling metal rhythm.

EQUIPPED WITH BLUEBUCKER PICKUPS
The Bluebucker pickups come with hand-selected ferrite polepieces and 7,000 turns of coil for mega hot output that delivers pulverizing punch and power for extreme metal styles and sounds.

DOUBLE LOCKING II TREMOLO
Double Locking II Tremolo on the X-6 provides rock-solid tuning stability during the most extreme tremolo stunts like deep dive-bombing and squealing pinch harmonic pull-ups.

H-S-H PICKUP CONFIGURATION
This versatile pickup configuration with the 5-way switch provides a wide variety of sounds to cover virtually any musical style. With the middle and neck pickups alone or in combination, the sounds are not only ideal for rhythm playing but for distinctive single-coil and neck humbucker lead sounds.

COIL-TAP (PUSH-PULL TONE KNOB)
The push-pull tone knob potentiometer allows for the humbucker’s dual coils to be split into single-coil, providing a brighter and glassier sound ideal for genres such such as pop, funk and certain styles of jazz.

MODERN U-SHAPE NECK PROFILE
Designed for maximum speed, the U-shape profile is ideal for high-energy technical genres requiring fast alternate picking and blazing legato and tapping techniques.

JUMBO FRETS
2.9mm jumbo frets allow the fingers to fly up and down the fretboard with ease and authority.

ABOUT CORT:
The Cort company, as its current incarnation, was founded in 1960 as an importer of pianos. The business slowly evolved from a piano importer to a manufacturer and sales division then finally into a guitar manufacturer in 1973. At this early stage of the company’s history, Soo Doh was strictly an OEM supplier to other foreign brand name companies. The company eventually changed its name to Cort Musical Instruments, focused on guitars and released the first Cort-branded guitars in 1982. www.cortguitars.com
