LTD 1000 SERIES

Guitars in the LTD 1000 Series are designed to offer the tone, feel, looks, and quality that working professional musicians need in an instrument.

SEYMOUR DUNCAN PICKUS

The Pegasus/Sentient Set offers progressive players the ultimate palette of modern metal tones. This calibrated set of our Pegasus and Sentient humbuckers delivers the perfect blend of articulation and aggression.

The Sentient neck delivers a balanced, versatile tone that fits right between the ’59 model and the Jazz neck pickup. You’ll get pristine cleans for intricate chordal and single note runs with fluid leads under high gain. The Sentient is a vintage output pickup with great dynamic response and a wide harmonic range. It works great for low tunings in all humbucker-equipped guitars. Whether run clean or through the filthiest of high gain channels, the Sentient neck offers the articulation demanded by modern metal players.

The Pegasus bridge was originally designed for extended range instruments. However, 6 string players immediately demanded we offer a version to call their own. It incorporates an alnico 5 bar magnet and custom winding specs. The goal was to deliver a warm, balanced, responsive, and lush tone for progressive metal. It’s a harmonically rich pickup with a prominent midrange and a focused low end. The high resonant peak makes for a sparkly top end and an incredible “bloom” on chords in high-gain situations. The responsive and accurate pick attack ensures that you will cut through any live mix, and will have tight-tracking transients in a studio environment. Because the Pegasus is a moderate output pickup, it works as well for clean tones as it does for distorted tones.

HIPSHOT FIXED BRIDGE

The Hipshot Fixed Bridge is the ultimate marriage of performance, beauty and ergonomics. Each bridge is hand polished for a smooth, comfortable feel under your palm. The stainless steel saddles have a crisp string relief edge, eliminating dull tones. The side walls lock your saddles in place no matter how hard you thrash.

MACASSAR EBONY FRETBOARD

Macassar Ebony (Diospyros celebica), derives it’s name from the Makassar, the main seaport of the Indonesian island of Sulawesi. It is endemic to the island and attains heights of 20 metres. Macassar Ebony is quartersawn, this means that it is more stable and less prone to cracking than African and Indian Ebony. As a tonewood, Macassar Ebony has been described to produce instruments with a clear, loud sound. It’s providing a slightly dark and woody overtone content with a low to mid end predominance- much like Indian Rosewood!
